Lately, I’ve been marveling at pictures of mosques around the world.

Centuries-old dome-shaped buildings
Towering minarets
Kaleidoscope-coloured stained glass windows
Surroundings of gardens and bodies of water

Feeling inspired, I decided to put together a post with images of 15 mosques around the world that truly capture the beauty of Islamic architecture.

Do Not Set Out On A Journey Except For Three Mosques

Strive to visit the following mosques:

Al-Masjid Al-Haram
Al-Masjid An-Nabawi
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Do not set out on a journey except for three Mosques i.e. Al-Masjid-AI-Haram, the Mosque of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) , and the Mosque of Al-Aqsa, (Mosque of Jerusalem).”
